Product Review: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper
When it comes to makeup I tend to stick to the department store brands as opposed to drugstore brands. Don't get me wrong. Most of my experimenting in high school was not possible without drugstore brands, but as I graduated from school, so did my choices in cosmetics. That is of course with the exception of mascaras. While I've tried all the cult classics, editors picks, and runway ready types I always come back to the less expensive mascaras. Granted, throwing out a tube of expensive mascara every 3 months is an investment that I'm not about to make in my life at this point I really do like the drugstore mascaras, and they are less than half the price.
I've been on the look out for a mascara that's plumping and thickening. I already have the length, so I was looking for that oomph and volume that you get from false lashes without messing with faux lashes. I decided to give Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper a try.
At first, I was interested in how the mascara brush bristles worked. I'm used to the traditional kind, but this fat-wrap brush has flexible plastic bristles. After one dip into the mascara you can see how much mascara is packed onto the wand, so more of it gets onto your lashes creating that lush look I was hoping to get. It looked like I had more lashes than I normally do because the mascara was actually able to coat them from the inner to the outer edges of my lashes. I'm usually unable to get the really little lashes with normal bristles.
The look that I achieved: fat and fluttery lashes. I can really say that I prefer this mascara over some of the more expensive brands I've tried. The quality is the same from my experience and the price helps too.
