It's summer and nothing is sexier than showing some skin while it’s hot and steamy outside. Especially if you’re like me and you're looking for the chance to wear some of the bathing suits you have stuffed in a drawer somewhere. But, before you put a bikini on and run out of your house you may need to consider what your skin looks like. Here are a couple fun things to try that will get your body bronzed and beautiful for when minimal clothes is the only option.
On a Budget
I have medium-tanned skin and need just a little bit of help to get rid of imperfections and get more of a toned appearance, so I stick to a budget brand self tanner. I use Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer in Medium-Tan Skin. I’m not too fond of the smell, but all self tanners have a funny smell which occurs when the tanner reacts with your skin. This goes away in a while and you can enjoy a sun kissed look.
Apply Jergens Soft Shimmer Skin Radiance Moisturizer to neutralize the smell and add some much need sparkle to the skin.
Rich Tan
If you’re looking for more color, another good self tanner to try is St. Tropez. Kristen Kelly at Beauty Addict recommends getting the Self-Tan Remover to remove any tanner that may get on your hands.
A good way to cover the smell is using a golden scented shimmer powder like Urban Decay Flavored Body Powder. It smells and tastes like chocolate so not only will you look great but your boyfriend will enjoy it too ;) Might I add - chocolate is an aphrodisiac.
Quick Time
If you don’t want to deal with the smell or the commitment of a tanner and just need some color for a one time thing try Smashbox Body Lights Glowing Lotion. It provides a healthy glow with some shimmer and only takes minutes to apply. You can also pair this with Smashbox Sunset Boulevard Fusion Body Bronzing Set. It is a powder bronzer made for the body and will finish off the bronzed look. Both products complement each other with a tropical scent and the right amount of color.
