Product Review: True Cosmetics - Luminance Collection

I've loved makeup kits since I was very young so when I got to try TRUE Cosmetics Spring/Summer 2008 Luminance Collection I was excited to see how it would look.

The Product

The Luminance Collection includes 2 eye shadows, 1 eye definer, 1 bronzer, 1 blush, and 1 face highlighter. The colors are natural with a nice pink and golden glow and good for most skin tones. I have a medium to tan complexion and the colors show up on my face in a natural looking finish so it will have a more dramatic look for fair complexions depending on how much you layer on each product.

The Packaging

The great thing about the packing of this collection is the instructional guide underneath the flap. It tells you exactly where to apply each product on the face. It also has tips and tricks on the back of the packaging to help you select other products that would complement this collection. Being TRUE's Luminance Collection comes in a sleek metallic case with a large mirror and stores round cakes of product and a definer brush that can be used to line your eyes.

Overall

The Luminance Collection is natural looking yet pigmented enough for most skin types. The highlighter adds a nice glow when used correctly. It's great for day wear and the compact that it comes in is small enough to fit in your handbag for touch ups on the go. The consistency of each product is a bit powdery, so make sure you blow excess product off the brush before applying it to the face. Overall, this is a great collection for the summer and will be a great kit to carry for touch ups whether you're going to work or a sunny beach.
