Why Warming Up and Cooling Down is so Important

ACE fitness is one of the best fitness certificates someone can get and according to them both warm-ups and cool downs should be an essential part of every persons workout. The purpose of the warm-up is to prepare your body for the workout you are about to do. It helps get your heart rate up just enough, and to warm up your muscles so you don't tear or pull anything during your main workout. A cool down helps bring your heart rate back down to its resting rate so your body doesn't feel "jolted" by suddenly stopping your regular working. It allows the cool down process to be gradual.
