Nomi Day Spa in San Francisco - A Retreat from an Urban Lifestyle

Some think facials are a luxury and some think they are a necessity. I used to think the former, but I'm becoming a firm believer of facials as a way to keep my skin clear and healthy. My skin is prone to blackheads and no matter how many products I buy to maintain clear skin I still need a good extraction every now and then.

While looking for a day spa in the neighborhood I came across a hidden little gem in the Potrero Hill area called Nomi Day Spa. Nomi was started by Naomi Schwartz, An Aesthetician who decided to do her own thing and now is running a successful independent spa based in Potrero Hill. Parking is never an issue in this part of the city, which is an added bonus.

The treatments are like an escape from the urban reality of the city and it places you in a zen-like state of mind. Nomi facials are customized depending on your skin type and age. There are several add-ons if you're feeling adventurous, but things are kept simple so you're not over-whelmed with options. My deep pore treatments keep my skin clear and healthy looking. That means less makeup to cover up spots, which end up causing more problems long term.

Naomi keeps you comfortable through the whole process in a quiet room filled with aromatherapy scents, nature sounds, and the softest bed you will ever lay on. I've even gotten my guy to try it out and now he's become a regular at the day spa. The experience is worth a try for every urban dweller, male or female.

Nomi Day Spa is located at 1278 Indiana Street, in San Francisco, CA, Suite 200. For more info and to schedule your own mini retreat visit www.nomidayspa.com.
