Food Labels Explained

Food Labels can be super confusing if you don't know what you're looking at. The first thing you're going to look at on a food label is the number of calories. Then it's a toss-up between the carb count and the fat count. But what does the rest of the jibber-jabber on the back of that food box actually mean? As long as the calorie count is low then you should be fine right? Or is higher calories, with a super low fat content okay? Or wait- the carbs... by the time you get to this question you've given up completely and just get what you know tastes the best. Here's a little more help on deciphering what the nutrition labels actually mean with the help of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
