How Long Does it Take You to Get Ready in the Morning?

I’m not a morning person, so getting ready in the mornings can be tough for me. I manage to get ready in 30 to 45 minutes and this is usually when I'm keeping it simple. My hair is curly so all I have to do is put some product in my hair or freshen up my style from the day before and I’m all set. There isn’t much time for a makeup application in the morning so I’m out the door.
I spend a lot of time on my hair and makeup if I’m going out to a party or out with friends. I couldn’t imagine getting ready like that in the morning, but I notice a lot of girls do.

I take about 50 minutes to get ready, and that includes a body shower, touch up on my hair (like just flat ironing my bangs), makeup application, and making a quick lunch. I know it seems like a lot of stuff to do in 50 minutes but I rush! rush! rush! It's frustrating but I need my sleep and I don't prefer waking any earlier than an hour before work. So I usually get to work 5 minutes late every time!
hmm...I usually take about 30 mins to get ready. I get up at 8am and don't work till 10am but I enjoy tv and coffee for about an hour. If I feel like wearing some makeup, all I do is the quick eye liner and mascara. I work with elementary school kids, so I just wear simple clothes.
Umm well, it usually takes me about 50 minutes I wake up at 5:30am,Take a quick shower like 5 minutes or something,Clean face ,toning and moisturizing..Brush teeth... I stretch a litle bet then I get dressed then do hair and make -up(don't really put lots of make up only concealer and eye liner and a little powder)Then I eat breakfast then Enjoy like 15 minutes in front of tv lol=D
Top tip to spped up hair styling in the morning. By using a professional hair tool such as ghd straighteners or paul mitchell pro smoothers, you can get salon straight hair in minutes. If your more creative why not try curling and adding waves and volume to your hair. There are plenty of videos on youtube showing step by steps guide and styling with professional tools
I spend about 1,5 hours
- Breakfast for about 10 minutes
- Wash and condition hair with Redken all soft shampoo and conditioner
- Cleanse my face with Dermalogica essential cleansing solution
- Tone with multi active toner (Dermalogica)
- Moisture with intensive moisture balance
- Body lotion!
- Apply serum and heat protector in towel dry hair
- Blow dry bangs
- Apply some tigi bed head after party
- Blow dry again
- Do makeup : Primer, foundation, concealer, blusher, finishing powder. (everyday minerals)
- Makeup again: highlight brows, mascara and lipgloss
- Md formulations antioxidant spray to set the makeup straight.
Ready to face the day:D
Hey Vicky,
Wow! you get a lot done in the morning. When do you get up in the morning? I notice a lot of girls are tip-top ready in the morning, but I usually spend more time at night if I'm going out.
im awful at getting ready on time and i drive people mad,
i tend to take about an hour and 30... thats rushing
in that time
i have a shower
blow dry my hair
straiten my hair
moisturize face
brush teeth
put on makeup (eye liner, mascara, concealer, powder)
and then rush around the house like a crazy person trying to find anything else i need for the day and im done lol
About two hours...
Its so bad, but I have a whole routine that takes me minimum two hours every morning, with music on the entire time :)
Shower
Brush Teeth
Blowdry Hair
Straighten Hair
Style Hair (with an entire can of harispray...)
Makeup
Get dressed
Worry if I look okay, so re-do makeup
And if there's time, which there never is, grab food...

I came across this thread in a search for what other people do in the morning. I'm a pretty low maintenance elementary school teacher who LOVES sleep so I typically end up rolling out of bed 15 minutes before i need to leave. I brush my teeth, throw my hair in a pony tail and don't wear any make-up. I grab breakfast to eat in the car or an extra snack for the morning at school. I try to shower and make my lunch the night before to save time.
Am I too low maintenance? Maybe stuck in my university habits? I've been feeling lately like I need to grow up and have a real woman's morning routine... (I'm going to be 26 soon)
